A Heart For God 💌

God is the creator of the earth and rulers of all things; he created us in his image. God placed a value on us by first loving us, and he wants nothing less than a genuine relationship  with him.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4: 8- 9 ( NIV).

Imagine how you would feel if you genuinely love someone and they don’t love you back. Being used and taken for granted by someone who doesn’t love you back results in constant heartache. 😢💔

David loved God; he was a man after God’s own heart. No wonder he was restless when God was  being assaulted by Goliath. David said to Goliath, “who is this uncircumcised Philistine to talk nonsense against the armies of the Lord God?.” David took his life in his hands and headed for Goliath. From there, he ascended the throne ( Samuel anointed David- ‘King Of Israel ‘).

Saying to God, “I love you” without  proof is not passionate enough; our love for God should be expressed with actions- by:

🌞Studying God’s word; observing his commandments and applying his principles to our lives- Psalm 119:105

🌞Praying often- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

🌞Showing unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness to our neighbour- Ephesians 4:2-3

🌞Fellowshipping with other believers- Hebrews 10: 24-25

🌞Soul winning ( Evangelism)- Mark 16: 15

You can’t have a heart for God and not make a mark in the world.

Do something to make God proud today, and he will reward you openly.

You are better than ever!👈
