I Choose To Be Happy😄

Dear Survivor,

What a precious privilege to be alive today, irrespective of  what  you have been through, or, are  currently going through.

Choose to be happy and put laugh back into your life.  Life is too  short to be exposed to an intense feeling of grief for so long.

Have you forgotten about God’s promise to you in Jeremiah 29 : 11?

” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Laughter is a powerful weapon that fights  against stress, depression, and blood pressure-you name it.

If you are struggling to laugh, you probably need to change your circle;  surround yourself  with Sanguines (funny people)- they will help you find your natural laugh.

You are great!🌞

The Recycled Guitar (I Was Lost And Found)🎸😢©

Dear Survivor,

Take a look at the acoustic guitar I found on the 9th of May, 2016 in the picture.🎸

On the 8th of May 2016, I was looking for the right title for one of my unfinished projects, and the Holyspirit gently whispered in my ears, “recycled…” I felt a bit reluctant, and I was like hmmm,…recycled-recycled?… In the end, however, I googled the word- ‘recycled’ and was thinking what it has to teach about life.🔍

On my way home from my son’s school; a day after I received the word ‘recycled ‘- which was on the 9th of May 2016 at 3:30pm, my attention was drawn to the guitar placed outside the communal bins area; I looked around to see if anyone was watching me picking up the rubbish (a beautiful curvy acoustic guitar) that just needs love and new home. And finally, there-you can see my new friend relaxing on the chair and welcomed to ‘her’ new family, I’d say.💞

Apparently, If there’s one thing that people don’t seem to be able to get enough of, it is true LOVE. So, to have someone treat you like a human being, that’s really significant.💝

My ongoing fascination with the possibility of playing a designer guitar in the future got me practicing by wiggling my fingers on my waist everytime I sing. However, I couldn’t afford to buy one, but God-The great provider provided me the beautiful abandoned -acoustic guitar -that deeply inspired my soul and reminds me of what The Holyspirit said to me, a day before the guitar was found-“Recycled .”

The guitar brought me to tears because, that used to be me before God took me out of the pit of destruction(Psalm 40:2) and smiled on me. I could easily have ended up in drug business or prostitution and finally in jail. But, God’s mercy said, “NO!”

By God’s grace, I am going to spend less to buy extra strings, guitar bag and also learn to play it and make it sound as beautiful as possible .

To the one reading this, do you sometimes feel you have lost your sparkles because you feel used and dumped, betrayed, ridicled, rejected, criticised and misjudged? Whenever you are tempted to feel like all hope is gone, always remember the recycled- guitar’s story.

Above all, If you seek first the kingdom of God, all things shall be added unto you (Mathew 6:33).

Help is on its way (Psalm 55:22).👣

Encouraging Scriptures/Affirmations:IMG_20180104_104825_675

A message for you: Dear Survivor, it is not over until it is over.God says, I should tell you to trust the process he is taking you through. Just trust him, and never make a move to give up on his plan for your life.

You are great!🌞

Encouraging Scriptures/Affirmations:

A Time For Everything -Ecclesiastes 3:1-14

Dear Survivor,

Happy New year to you. Trust you are doing great.

I just wanted to quickly share with you what I found in my hair around 1:30am on the 3rd of January, 2018. And what it has to teach about life.

As a work-at-home mum, I get  most things done while my kids are sleeping-usually at night. I am a mum of three, including my husband, I have four babies to look after for goodness sake.😀

I  looked in the mirror and realised my beautiful cornrow is old enough to take out. As I was taking it out, my attention was drawn to something shining in my hair- it was a white hair! I looked again to be A-sure of what I have just seen. ‘Ready or not, here we come,…’ I saw two new white strands at the same time; equal to three white strands of hair in my black afro! Initially, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. And I was like, wait a minute,…are you kidding me?!… I am sincrerly not interested to hunt for more. I am done with it- so done with it. 🙈

The moment I saw the three white fairy angels in my hair,  I was confused and guilty at the same time. Why?…the truth finally dawned on me; time is not on my side, and I am not getting any younger; there is no time to spare.😢

Time they say, waits for no man. Truth be told: Many people are enjoying now to pay the price later because, they have failed to set their priorities straight. There is more to life than that; don’t be like them; don’t  loose focus. Life is too short to waste your precious time on unnecessary things.  Do what you can now while you still have the opportunity and energy to get it done.

“Tick, says the clock, tick, tick, What you have to do, do quick, Tick, says the clock, Tick, says the clock, tick, tick, What you have to do, do quick.”⏰⏱⏲

My dear survivor, are you  ready to be back on track? If yes, please raise your hand and say after me:🤚

I take back control of my day, I am minimizing distractions while I am getting  important things done, I choose to stay focus and set my priorities straight. I am working in my purpose. So, help me God (amen).

Good job! You are great.🤝😊
